Mark Pruitt Founder, CEO, & Financial Advisor
Mark founded Strategic Estate Planning Services with a clear vision: to build a firm that provides comprehensive financial and estate planning while fostering a relational—not transactional—approach to client service. Driven by a strong passion for helping others and being present for their families through life’s most important transitions, Mark has always placed people over products. His heart is truly the heart of a teacher—he genuinely cares for each individual he serves and is committed to guiding them with patience, clarity, and compassion. Today, Mark values his decades of work with multiple generations of families.
Mark’s masters degree in education, along with his ministry experience in his earlier years, equips him to present complex information with clarity and precision, making it easy for families to understand while maintaining a tone of compassion and care.
Mark has his life and health insurance licenses in multiple states and is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative. Mark earned his master’s degree from Wichita State.
When he's not engaged in business, Mark finds great joy in spending time outdoors, particularly fishing, gardening, and working with his hands. He enjoys spending quality time with family. In addition to his love for the outdoors, Mark is a gifted percussionist with a lifelong passion for music. His musical talent and creativity often enrich the communities he’s part of.

Della is the co-founder of Strategic Estate Planning Services. Her relationship strengths and understanding that trust is built over time make her well suited to guide and direct the firm’s office administration.
Della holds a life and health insurance license in Texas and has a psychology degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
In her free time, Della enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves reading, gardening and serving on the worship team at her church.
One of her passions is working with caregivers in the field of Alzheimer’s disease/dementia care. She was instrumental in starting caregiver support groups and the Hope for the Caregiver Conference at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. This annual conference provides a multitude of resources for those who are taking care of loved ones with long-term care needs.

Morgan, the daughter of founders Mark and Della Pruitt, proudly represents the second generation of dedicated service at Strategic Estate Planning Services. She is proud to carry on her family’s legacy, committed to upholding the integrity and values her parents originally established. Since joining the firm in 2016, she has combined her deep industry knowledge with a passion for building strong, personal relationships with our clients to help empower them to make confident decisions throughout their journey in every phase of life.
Morgan earned her bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of North Texas. As a licensed life and health insurance professional in multiple states, Morgan focuses on providing personalized solutions for individuals and families, helping clients navigate the complex world of insurance, while also strongly focusing on Medicare planning and education. She also serves as the firm's Chief Operations Officer, leading our team with passion and purpose. She is deeply committed to cultivating a supportive, collaborative work environment where each team member can thrive, knowing that a strong internal culture directly translates to exceptional client service.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Morgan is an avid animal lover who cherishes spending time outdoors, especially fishing and gardening, getting lost in a book or music, and the adventures that come with traveling the world. She loves educating herself on new travel destinations and cultures while enjoying the details of planning each venture. Passionate about providing a comprehensive approach to estate planning, Lamar skillfully guides clients through various strategies, whether they involve insurance, market-oriented approaches, or a blend of both. His goal is to help clients make informed decisions that align with their aspirations and lead them towards their financial dreams.
Lamar holds life insurance licenses in both Georgia and Texas and is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative. He has earned the prestigious designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) and Certified Public Accountant. Lamar's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
Outside the office, Lamar treasures time with his family and loves to travel. He is also an avid sports fan, enjoying the thrills and camaraderie that come with sporting events.

Following an honorable five-year service in the United States Marine Corps, he pursued his academic journey at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, where he sharpened his skills in finance and strategic planning.
Licensed in life and health insurance in Texas and registered as an Investment Adviser Representative, Justin focuses on comprehensive retirement planning–crafting personalized strategies that help clients navigate their financial futures with clarity and confidence. His focus is on building strong, lasting client relationships and honoring the legacy of trust and excellence established by the firm’s founders. Justin is married to team member Morgan Pruitt Williams and is excited to continue the family business alongside her.
Beyond the office, Justin's zest for life shines through his avid love for golf and sports. Whether he's on the green perfecting his swing, watching his favorite sports teams, or exploring new travel destinations, he embraces life with passion. Above all, he cherishes time with his family–and his beloved dog, Indy Mae, who’s always by his side for every adventure.

Laura brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role as the Chief Marketing Officer. Additionally, she serves as Mark's Executive Assistant and the dynamic Client Event Coordinator for our office. Laura is committed to delivering the highest level of customized service, helping ensure that each client's experience is exceptional and memorable.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Worship and Music Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. With a strong foundation in event coordination and program facilitation, Laura spent nine years on a church staff, where she orchestrated a variety of events and programs tailored for women of all ages.
In her spare time, Laura indulges in her passions for singing, creative writing, and crafting. She finds joy and fulfillment in playing with her beautiful daughter, Liliana, and cherishes every moment spent with her family. Laura and her husband, Josh, are active members of their church community. Together, they devote their time and talents to the music ministry.

With a heart dedicated to service and a passion for helping others achieve their goals, Amy knew she had found her calling at Strategic Estate Planning Services (SEPS) upon discovering the shared values and practices of Mark and his team. Amy's diverse background includes experience as a teacher, a Career Development Assistant and Listing Coordinator at Ebby Halliday Realtors, and most recently as an Underwriting Service Assistant with State Farm. Holding her Texas Life and Health Insurance license, she has also found her calling as Director of Client Care, where her expertise and heart for serving clients truly shine.
Amy is eager to continuously expand her knowledge and skills to provide the ideal service experience and to be a blessing to everyone she encounters at Strategic Estate Planning Services. She holds a Bachelor's of Interdisciplinary Studies from LeTourneau University and has a true passion for learning.
Outside of work, Amy is a devoted pet lover and often pet-sits for friends and family. She is actively involved in her church, serving in Kids Kingdom and occasionally joining the Worship team, driven by her love for worship.
Amy's favorite verse, Ephesians 3:20-21, serves as a guiding principle in her life: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably MORE THAN ALL we ASK or IMAGINE, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever, Amen!"

With a heart for service and a deep commitment to helping families plan for the future, Katie Heitmuller approaches financial and legacy planning with compassion, empathy, and attention to detail. She believes that building trust and relationships is just as important as managing the practical aspects of planning, and she takes pride in offering thoughtful support to each client. Katie moved to DFW with her husband in 2020, and has made the area home. Katie brings with her experience in organizational business management, a branch of Applied Behavior Analysis. At Strategic, Katie obtained her Texas life insurance license and works to assist our team with paperwork and provide support to our clients through customer service.
Katie is a Louisiana native, born and raised in Shreveport, LA. Katie went to Louisiana Tech University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. While working towards beginning her master’s degree, she moved home and began working at a therapy center, where she found the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Katie then received her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. She became fully immersed in advocating for and working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Katie spent the next seven years working in ABA and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Outside of the office, Katie and her husband Nick stay occupied with the joys and adventures of being parents to their baby boy Hank. Her hobbies include spending precious time with her family through softball league, traveling the world, rooting for the Atlanta Braves, and being outside.

Indy Mae – the lovable and fluffy Bernedoodle – proudly holds the prestigious title of Chief Financial Paw-ficer at our office. With her wagging tail and boundless energy, Indy Mae keeps our spirits high and our stress levels low, proving that a little fur and a lot of love can make all the difference in a busy workplace.
Her duties include monitoring treat inventory (and taste-testing, of course), managing the office's cuddle sessions, and conducting interactive play assessments to boost team morale. With her unwavering loyalty, gentle nature, and adorable charm, Indy Mae is not just our Chief Financial Paw-ficer – she’s the heart and soul of our office. Our days are brighter and our work more delightful with Indy Mae by our side, reminding us of the importance of pawsitivity in the workplace.
